Local service integrity compromise via malicious environment file

Stack buffer overflow in RTI Connext Professional Persistence Service allows local users to compromise service integrity via .environment files. On non-Windows systems, the service copies data parsed from a user-controlled .environment file to the stack without correctly bounding the write; affected releases are 5.3.1.40 before 5.3.1.41, 6.1.1.2 before 6.1.2.21, and 7.0.0 before 7.3.0.2. Exploitation requires write access to the service account's home-directory file and can alter service execution or interrupt the service.
