Stack buffer overflow in XML type parsing in Real-Time Innovations Connext Professional allows remote attackers to corrupt data or crash applications. The parser copies data from malicious RTPS type-discovery messages or XML type files into a fixed-size stack buffer without enforcing its bound. Network reachability requires an application using XML types without RTPS discovery protection; local users need write access to an XML type file.
