Authenticated router crash via oversized PPTP parameter

A stack overflow in affected NETGEAR router firmware allows remote authenticated users to crash the router through a crafted POST request. The bsw_pptp.cgi handler copies an oversized pptp_user_ip POST parameter onto the stack without enforcing the destination buffer's bounds. Exploitation requires low-privilege access from an adjacent network and affects R8500 1.0.2.160, XR300 1.0.3.78, R7000P 1.3.3.154, and R6400v2 1.0.4.128; the reported consequence is a service-interrupting crash.
