Terminal deception via unescaped sideband control sequences

Improper output neutralization in Git 2.48.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to manipulate terminal displays through sideband messages. The client prints attacker-controlled messages from the remote Git process directly to standard error without neutralizing ANSI control sequences. A user must clone, fetch, or push with an untrusted repository; interpreted sequences can hide or misrepresent output and induce execution of untrusted scripts.
