Self-XSS via interpreted picture-upload error
Published Nov 7, 2024 · Updated Nov 7, 2024
Stored XSS in the portal picture upload in Combodo iTop before 3.2.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript. The upload path accepts a text file containing JavaScript as a portal picture, and the resulting error response interprets the file content as active script. Portal access and a crafted upload are required, and execution occurs in the uploading user's browser context, allowing that session's data to be read or changed.
