CVE-2024-51989Network attack vector

Session compromise via unsanitized confirmation parameter

Published Nov 7, 2024 · Updated Nov 7, 2024

Cross-site scripting in Password Pusher 1.41.1 through 1.48.0 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript via a confirmation link. The account confirmation flow inserts an unsanitized confirmation parameter into a generated page, allowing script execution in the recipient's browser. Only self-hosted instances with the login system enabled are affected, and exploitation requires a user to open the crafted link; the script can expose account data or act in that user's session.
