CVE-2024-51988Network attack vector

Unauthorized queue deletion via missing permission check

Published Nov 6, 2024 · Updated Nov 6, 2024

Improper access control in RabbitMQ Server 3.12.7 through 3.12.10 allows remote authenticated users to delete unauthorized queues via HTTP. The management HTTP API queue-deletion endpoint processes DELETE requests without checking the caller's configure permission for the named queue. Exploitation requires valid credentials, HTTP API access, and some permission on the target virtual host; it deletes queues beyond the account's authorized scope.
