Stored script execution via unescaped contributor content
Published Nov 19, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in Erik Saulnier News Articles 1.0.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts. The plugin insufficiently sanitizes stored contributor-supplied content and fails to escape it when an injected page is rendered; public sources do not identify the affected field or function. Contributor-level access and a victim page visit are required, after which the script can read or modify data available to the victim's browser session.
