Stored script execution via unescaped custom_js
Published Jun 11, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in Essential Addons for Elementor 5.9.23 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts. Asset_Builder inserts the stored custom_js page setting into an inline script block without sanitizing or escaping the value. Contributor-level access is required to save the setting, and the injected script executes when a user opens the affected page.
