Contributor-level stored XSS via unescaped page content
Published Nov 19, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Stored XSS in WordPresteem Client Logo Carousel 1.4 and earlier allows attackers with contributor access to inject scripts into pages. The plugin accepts contributor-supplied page content without sufficient input sanitization or output escaping, then renders the stored payload in public pages. Contributor-level access is required, and the payload executes when an injected page is opened, permitting script-driven actions in the viewing browser.
