Unauthenticated code execution via unchecked upload extension
Published Nov 11, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Unrestricted file upload in Made I.T. Forms 2.8.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute PHP through a public form. The form submission handler accepts a .php filename labeled as application/pdf and stores it beneath wp-content/uploads/madeit-forms without rejecting the executable extension. No authentication or user interaction is required; successful exploitation runs commands with the WordPress web-server account and permits reading, changing, or deleting site data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
