Improper certificate validation in qBittorrent before 5.0.1 allows man-in-the-middle attackers to substitute HTTPS downloads. The shared DownloadManager ignored every TLS certificate validation error, so untrusted certificates did not stop downloads. Exploitation requires man-in-the-middle access or DNS spoofing; substituted content can alter RSS or update links, while Windows code execution additionally requires acceptance of the Python-install prompt.
