CVE-2024-51772Network attack vector

Authenticated command execution via unsafe deserialization

Published Dec 3, 2024 · Updated Dec 3, 2024

Deserialization in ClearPass Policy Manager 6.11.0 through 6.11.9 and 6.12.0 through 6.12.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute OS commands. HPE identifies the flaw as deserialization in the web-based management interface but has not disclosed the affected endpoint, serialized format, or unsafe operation. Exploitation requires high-privilege authentication, user interaction, and a network path to the management interface; success grants arbitrary command execution on the underlying operating system.
