CVE-2024-51768

Root code execution via vulnerable HSQLDB service

Published Jul 14, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026

Code injection in HPE AutoPass License Server before 9.17 allows remote authenticated users on an adjacent network to execute code. The default TCP 9001 HSQLDB service incorporates a vulnerable third-party component that fails to constrain attacker-controlled code. Service authentication is required but bypassable, and successful exploitation runs code as root.
