CVE-2024-5176Network attack vector

Credential exposure via password-manager autofill

Published May 31, 2024 · Updated Sep 3, 2024

Credential exposure in Baxter Welch Allyn Configuration Tool 1.9.4.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to obtain saved login credentials. Browser password-manager functionality auto-populates stored credentials into fields in a device configuration file that can then be shared or deployed. Exposure requires a user to save the auto-filled values in a configuration file; stolen credentials grant remote service access and can enable monitor reconfiguration.
