Arbitrary file read and deletion via database paths
Published Nov 11, 2024 · Updated Nov 12, 2024
Path traversal in Kanboard before 1.2.42 allows remote authenticated users with administrator access to read or delete server files. Attachment downloads trust the path field in an uploaded project_has_files SQLite database, so ../ sequences resolve outside the file directory. Exploitation requires an administrator to export, modify, and restore the database; access is limited to files available to the Kanboard process.
