Unauthenticated user deletion via exposed data clear
Published Nov 4, 2024 · Updated Jan 22, 2025
Improper access control in Zope Foundation AccessControl before 7.2 allows remote attackers to delete all UserFolder user data over HTTP. UserFolder omits a data__roles__ security declaration, leaving its PersistentMapping data attribute traversable and its inherited clear method callable. No account is required; deleting every stored user prevents privileged access when no alternative privileged account remains.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
