CVE-2024-51720Network attack vector

Account impersonation via brute-forced activation codes

Published Nov 12, 2024 · Updated Sep 11, 2025

Insufficient entropy in BlackBerry SecuSUITE 5.0.420 and earlier allows remote attackers to enroll a device under a victim's identity. The SCA Server accepts brute-forced activation codes from repeated unauthenticated enrollment attempts because the codes occupy too small a random value space. Successful attacks associate an attacker-controlled device with the victim's account and telephone number; no broader access is stated.
