CVE-2024-5166Network attack vector

Authenticated metadata disclosure via numeric query IDs

Published May 22, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024

IDOR in Google Cloud Looker allows remote authenticated users sharing a LookML model to access other users' query metadata. The query and render-task API endpoints accepted guessable numeric query IDs instead of requiring per-query slugs, while running-query data was exposed beyond administrators. Access requires a valid Looker account and a shared LookML model; the result is metadata disclosure without reported data modification or service interruption.
