Unauthenticated command execution via upload path

Published Oct 29, 2024 · Updated Oct 30, 2024

OS command injection in CyberPanel before 2.3.5 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands through the File Manager upload endpoint. The upload handler passes the attacker-controlled completePath value into an ls command through ProcessUtilities.outputExecutioner() before rejecting shell metacharacters. No authentication is required, and successful injection runs operating-system commands in the website account context, enabling server compromise.
