Account compromise via unrestricted login guessing
Published Nov 4, 2024 · Updated Nov 4, 2024
Improper authentication-attempt restriction in 63 moons technologies limited Wave 2.0 before 1.1.7 allows remote attackers to access accounts. The API-based login accepts excessive failed OTP, MPIN, and password attempts without enforcing a retry limit or lockout. No authentication is required to make the guesses; a correct value grants unauthorized access to the targeted account and can compromise other users’ accounts.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
