Credential disclosure via Base64 authdata cookie
Published Dec 5, 2024 · Updated Dec 5, 2024
Credential disclosure in ABB ASPECT platforms 3.08.02 and earlier allows man-in-the-middle attackers to read account credentials. The WebUI places a username and Base64-encoded password in the authdata field of the globals HTTP cookie while project backup bundles remain exposed. The target must be reachable on an insecure network; intercepted cookies compromise user accounts, while the reported flaw does not modify data or interrupt service.
