Unauthenticated account manipulation via trusted Host header
Published Dec 5, 2024 · Updated Dec 5, 2024
Authentication bypass in ABB ASPECT products 3.08.02 and earlier allows remote attackers to list, add, modify, or delete application users. The MIX AuthenticatedHttpServlet derives the remote address from the attacker-controlled Host header and treats localhost as implicitly authorized. Network access to port 7226 is sufficient, and arbitrary user or group changes can grant MIXAdmin access.
