Unauthenticated service restart and VM reconfiguration
Published Dec 5, 2024 · Updated Dec 5, 2024
Service-control exposure in ABB ASPECT 3.08.02 and earlier allows remote attackers to restart services and change VM settings. ABB identifies access to service-restart requests and VM configuration settings but does not disclose the affected endpoint or request-validation failure. No credentials or user interaction are required; network access to a misconfigured ASPECT system is enough, and resulting changes can interrupt services or alter VM configuration.
