Arithmetic overflow in retention-period handling in Dell Technologies ECS before 3.8.1.3 allows remote authenticated users to delete objects. Dell has not published the exact code locus or arithmetic operation that mishandles the retention value. Exploitation requires bucket- or object-level access with deletion privileges and bypasses retention protections for targeted objects.
