Published May 29, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Authentication bypass in OTP Login With Phone Number 1.7.26 and earlier allows remote attackers to take over any existing account. The lwp_ajax_register function accepts an empty activation_code default without rejecting the empty value before completing registration or login. Knowledge of an existing user's email address is sufficient to obtain that user's session, including an administrator account.
