Unauthenticated local file read via URL-filter bypass
Published Nov 1, 2024 · Updated Nov 1, 2024
Path traversal in changedetection.io before 0.47.5 allows remote attackers to read local files through a crafted WebDriver watch URL. The watch URL checks remove the source prefix for protocol validation but later pass its nested file URI to the selected browser fetcher. The instance must permit watch creation and use a WebDriver fetcher; exploitation exposes files readable by that browser service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
