CVE-2024-51470Network attack vector

Service interruption via improperly valued messages

Published Dec 18, 2024 · Updated Dec 18, 2024

Improper condition handling in IBM MQ server products allows remote authenticated users to cause a service interruption. The server mishandles messages with improperly set values instead of safely handling the resulting exceptional condition; IBM has not disclosed a narrower code locus. Affected releases include IBM MQ 9.1 through 9.4, MQ Appliance 9.3 through 9.4, and MQ for HPE NonStop 8.1.0 through 8.1.0.25; authentication and network access are required.
