Data exposure and server crash via EL injection
Published Dec 20, 2024 · Updated Dec 20, 2024
EL injection in IBM Cognos Analytics 11.2.0 through 11.2.4 FP4 and 12.0.0 through 12.0.4 allows remote attackers to expose data or crash the server. IBM has not published the affected endpoint or the operation that evaluates attacker-controlled EL syntax. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation can disclose sensitive information, exhaust memory, or interrupt service by crashing the server.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=11.2.0 <=11.2.4
