Parameter-value manipulation via injected XML data
Published Jan 17, 2025 · Updated Feb 12, 2025
XML injection in IBM QRadar WinCollect Agent 10.0.0 through 10.1.12 allows attackers to alter assumed-immutable parameter values. The agent's parameter-handling path accepts attacker-controlled XML without validating data treated as immutable, allowing those values to be rewritten. IBM has not disclosed the affected parser or request path, and published evidence conflicts on whether remote reachability exists.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
