Username enumeration via login response discrepancy
Published May 13, 2025 · Updated May 13, 2025
Username-validation discrepancy in Siemens Polarion ALM V2310 and V2404 before V2404.2 allows unauthenticated remote attackers to enumerate users. The login implementation returns observably different responses while validating valid and invalid usernames, creating an account-existence oracle. No authentication or user interaction is required; the disclosed consequence is limited to learning which submitted usernames are valid.
