CVE-2024-51432Public exploit

Browser script execution via unsanitized SSID rendering

Published Nov 1, 2024 · Updated Nov 4, 2024

Stored cross-site scripting in FiberHome HG6544C Firmware RP2743 allows remote authenticated users to execute script through a crafted SSID. The router web interface stores an unneutralized SSID value and later inserts it into the WiFi Clients List as HTML, causing the viewer's browser to interpret attacker-controlled markup and script. Exploitation requires access to the router web interface and a user to view the affected client list; impact is limited to the viewing browser's confidentiality and integrity context.
