Administrative access via default management credentials
Published Nov 1, 2024 · Updated Nov 5, 2024
Weak credentials in Altai Technologies IX500 firmware allow remote attackers to gain administrative web access with a default password. The /cgi-bin/luci login accepts username admin and password admin, then returns a 302 response carrying a loginuser=admin cookie. Exploitation requires reachability from the adjacent network and exposes confidential management data; integrity and availability impacts are not reported.
