CVE-2024-51395Public exploit

Local service interruption via undersized SmartAudio thread stack

Published May 13, 2026 · Updated May 13, 2026

Stack overflow in ArduPilot Copter allows local users to interrupt autopilot operation through the AP_SmartAudio loop. AP_SmartAudio::loop creates a 768-byte SmartAudio thread, but its documented status-message and MAVLink signing call chain can consume 1,040 bytes. The condition was measured only in a Rover build for AnyleafH7 with detailed build options, so Copter-wide exposure remains unverified.
