Script execution via unsanitized admin search input
Published May 20, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Cross-site scripting in PHPGurukul Directory Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute script via the admin search bar. The search input in /admin/admin-profile.php is rendered without adequate sanitization, so an injected HTML event handler executes in the viewing browser. Administrator access is required to reach the affected page, and exploitation can alter page content or access data available to that browser session.
