Insecure deserialization in HoDoKu 2.3.0 through 2.3.2 allows context-dependent attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted .hsol file. The puzzle-file loader extracts XML from the archive and decodes attacker-controlled object instructions, permitting ProcessBuilder.start to launch a command. Exploitation requires a user to open the crafted puzzle file, and code runs with the desktop application's privileges.
