Administrator-browser script execution via unsanitized search input
Published May 20, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Cross-site scripting in PHPGurukul Directory Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute script through admin search. The search field in /admin/search-directory.php reflects a submitted value into the response without adequate output sanitization, so an HTML event-handler payload runs. Administrator access and interaction with the search form are required; successful exploitation runs script in the administrator's site context.
