CVE-2024-51324Known exploitationPublic exploit

Arbitrary process termination via unrestricted driver IOCTL

Published Feb 11, 2025 · Updated Feb 12, 2025

Improper privilege management in Baidu Antivirus 5.2.3.116083 allows local users to terminate arbitrary processes through BdApiUtil. The driver's exposed device accepts IOCTL 0x800024B4 with a caller-supplied process ID and invokes kernel-mode process termination without checking caller authorization. Administrator rights are required to install or load the driver, but after loading, a standard local user can interrupt nonprotected processes, including security services.
