Remote service interruption via device-name handler
Published Jul 20, 2026 · Updated Jul 20, 2026
Denial of service in Tenda TX9 firmware 22.03.02.20 allows remote attackers to interrupt router service via SetOnlineDevName requests. The update_dev_name function handles the /goform/SetOnlineDevName endpoint, but the public record does not disclose the malformed input, incorrect operation, or resulting failure mode. Network reachability to the management handler is required; the record establishes service interruption but not whether recovery is automatic or requires a reboot.
