Unauthenticated stack corruption via unbounded sscanf parsing
Published Jul 20, 2026 · Updated Jul 20, 2026
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda TX9 firmware 22.03.02.20 allows remote attackers to corrupt stack memory via a crafted route list. The SetStaticRouteCfg handler parses the POST list parameter with unbounded sscanf conversions into four fixed-size stack arrays. No authentication or user interaction is required; the public proof of concept does not establish code execution or the resulting device behavior.
