Authenticated command execution via pingtrace injection
Published Oct 30, 2024 · Updated Oct 30, 2024
OS command injection in DrayTek Vigor3900 Firmware 1.5.1.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands. The pingtrace function in mainfunction.cgi places attacker-controlled input into a command context without neutralizing command syntax. Low-privilege access to the network management interface is required, and successful injection compromises the appliance's confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
