Authenticated command execution via backup function
Published Nov 4, 2024 · Updated Nov 4, 2024
OS command injection in DrayTek Vigor3900 Firmware 1.5.1.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands. The mainfunction.cgi backup function incorporates attacker-controlled input into an operating-system command without neutralizing shell metacharacters. Access requires low privileges from an adjacent network, and successful exploitation can compromise the router's confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
