Admin RCE via unrestricted PHP image upload
Published Nov 20, 2024 · Updated Mar 13, 2025
Unrestricted file upload in Boat Booking System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP through a crafted boat image. The change-image.php handler accepts a PHP file as an image and makes it available from the web-served /bbs/images directory without enforcing a safe file type. Administrator access to the boat-image update page is required, and requesting the uploaded file runs attacker-supplied system commands.
