Database read and modification via login SQL injection
Published May 20, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
SQL injection in SourceCodester Event Registration System 1.0 allows remote attackers to read or modify database data via crafted login requests. The participant-login handler in classes/Login.php evaluates attacker-controlled username and password values as MySQL query syntax, enabling boolean- and time-based blind injection. No authentication or user interaction is required; crafted POST values can identify and dump the event_db database or alter application data.
