XXE in HAPI FHIR before 6.4.0 allows remote attackers to access sensitive information or run code through crafted XML requests. Multiple parsing paths create default DocumentBuilderFactory instances that resolve external entities instead of using the project's XXE-protected factory. Applications must pass attacker-controlled XML into an affected parsing path; resolution can fetch attacker-selected resources in the server's network context.
