Plaintext email disclosure via message-processing race
Published Feb 12, 2025 · Updated Mar 22, 2025
Information disclosure in Zertificon Z1 SecureMail Gateway 4.44.2-7240-debian12 allows remote attackers to expose email contents. Concurrent POST requests to /compose-pdf.xhtml?convid=[id] create a message-processing race that lets some outgoing messages bypass encryption. Exploitation requires many rapid messages, and disclosure occurs only if an unencrypted message is intercepted.
