CVE-2024-51015

Authenticated command execution via device-name parameter

Published Nov 5, 2024 · Updated Nov 5, 2024

Command injection in NETGEAR R7000P Firmware 1.3.3.154 allows remote authenticated users to execute OS commands via crafted requests. The operation_mode.cgi handler incorporates the device_name2 value into an operating-system command without neutralizing command syntax. Low-privilege access from an adjacent network reaches the handler; injected commands execute in the firmware's operating-system context.
