Product-price modification via tokenless price update
Published May 19, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in SourceCodester Simple Inventory System 1.0 allows remote attackers to alter product prices via a crafted form. The price-edit workflow accepts ITEM and itemprice at updateprice.php without verifying an anti-CSRF token before updating the stored price. Exploitation requires an authenticated user to open attacker-supplied HTML, after which the browser submits the forged change with that user's session.
