CVE-2024-50955Network attack vector

Unauthenticated service interruption via crafted TCP message

Published Nov 13, 2024 · Updated Mar 13, 2025

Resource exhaustion in XINJE XD5E-24R and XL5E-16T 3.5.3b allows remote attackers to interrupt PLC service via crafted TCP messages. The TCP message handler processes crafted protocol input without enforcing resource limits, but the public record does not identify the specific field or exhausted resource. Network access is sufficient, with no authentication or user action required, and successful exploitation interrupts controller availability.
