Denial of service in XINJE XL5E-16T and XD5E-24R-E 3.5.3b through 3.7.2a allows remote attackers to crash PLCs via Modbus TCP. The controllers' Modbus request handler fails to handle a specific message and enters an error state that stops the running control program. A LAN TCP connection is sufficient; the crash illuminates ERR, extinguishes RUN, and interrupts controller operation.
